Beth Hart is McDonald’s Chief Sustainability & Social Impact Officer and leads the team working at the intersection of environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and business resilience. Her extensive experience uniquely equips her with the expertise to align people and planet work with business strategy, helping to better serve the communities McDonald’s sources from as well as those it operates in. Prior to her current role, Beth led McDonald's UK&I Supply Chain and Brand Trust strategy, achieving a world-class supply chain performance and record brand trust scores. Beth previously held multiple leadership roles in the trading division at UK retailer Sainsbury’s; delivering a market leading health strategy and creating sustainable sourcing models which improved margin and competitive advantage.  

Beth has led marketing and product innovation teams at Diageo, Safeway and Mars, with a track record of translating insights into global actionable growth strategies and the execution of go-to-market plans, pricing models and channel optimization.   

She is a member of faculty at Cambridge University Institute of Sustainable Leadership and most recently served as a member of the UK Government Food & Drink Sector Council accountable for the UK food strategy.  Beth Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Process Engineering from Reading University and a Master of Studies in Sustainability Leadership from Cambridge University.
